Soloka Islands
editFrom this article one maybe thinks that the islands have no other names than the given Russian ones. This is not true. All had, and still have, their original Finnish (Karelian) names. The islands were originally known as Salosaaret (Wilderness Islands). The Solokansaari (Soloka Island), where the monastery is located, is 285 km2, 16 km bread and 24 km long island. The Hanhisaari (Goose Island) and the Suur Muksalman (Great Muksalma) saari are the next in size. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.112.186.200 (talk) 11:20, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
