Janitor...?

edit

Wait, what? Didn't House only THINK the Buraku man was a janitor? I don't think he actually was... I'm going to edit that a bit, but if anyone has evidence that he really was a janitor with unexpected medical knowledge, please correct it. Here's what was said:

"When I was 14, my father was stationed in Japan. I went rock climbing with this kid from school. He fell, got injured and I had to bring him to the hospital. We came in through the wrong entrance, passed this guy in the hall. It was a janitor. My friend came down with an infection and the doctors didn't know what to do. So they brought in...the janitor. He was a doctor and a Buraku, one of Japan's untouchables. His ancestors had been slaughterers, gravediggers. This guy, he knew that he wasn't accepted by the staff, didn't even try. He didn't dress well, he didn't pretend to be one of them. The people that ran that place, they didn't think that he had anything they wanted. Except when they needed him. Because he was right. Which meant that nothing else mattered. They had to listen to him."

He wasn't dressed like a doctor, because he just didn't try to be; he wasn't actually a janitor, right? 火の王国の王女 ~Fire Nation Princess~ (talk) 04:57, 3 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Allusions

edit

This should be added to the allusion section, House mentions something about an "orgasmatron" which is a reference to the Woody Allen movie 'Sleeper' from 1972. In which the woody allen character had been frozen and woken up many many years is the future. The orgasmatron is how people of the future have sex. No one actually does it manually physically any more.

Trivia: who says it was "unknowingly"? He very well could have used it because he's done his research on House (asking around, talking to previous employees, etc.) 70.35.227.160 09:06, 12 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Everybody lies

edit

When Tritter asks Foreman about House, Tritter at the end of their talk says that everybody lies. (I watched the german episode, so the sentence of Tritter might be a little different.) Tritter believes, that everybody lies. This is exactly what House thinks about all of his patients. I think, this is a very important scene and should be mentioned in the plot summary. The face of Foreman also gives it away that he knew that sentence from somebody else, guess from who. 88.73.72.199 22:11, 20 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Removal of sourced information

edit

Since TenPoundHammer (talk · contribs) refuses to discuss differences of opinion on talk pages, and I don't wish to edit war by repeatedly reverting his edits, I am opening up discussion here. I believe removal of sourced information is inappropriate, even if mentioned in another article, and even if TenPoundHammer disputes that a source is reliable. It should be discussed here, per WP:CON as well as common courtesy.

Please wait for others to comment rather than instantly reverting. Cresix (talk) 18:53, 18 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
