What are we talking about here? The historical officer? Or the largely fictional/hypothetical character in Romance of the Three Kingdoms? Wouldn't it be less confusing to unambiguously deal with the character of the novel, to avoid implying that it all is generally accepted historical facts? I think it is clear enough. Unless something is under the 'In Fiction' header, it is historical. So the lead section is historical.
