Why?

Why would someone buy this instead of a PS3? It's $500 more, and it does less. Kyouteki 15:35, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

This player has multi-channel analogue audio outputs, while the PS3 does not. Also, the PS3 has some problems relating to scaling images down to 720p or 1080i, which have not yet been fixed through firmware. Nick 8 05:31, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

I purchased this player back in late 2006 for 1,000 dollars, the main reason being that the PS3 was out of stock at many retailers at the time, due to high demand. But yes, if I had the option to buy a PS3 at the time, I would've picked the PS3. Illegitimate Barrister 04:07, 13 August 2014 (UTC)

Reads Like an Advertisment?

Although this article may not be completely unbiased, it certianly does not read like an advertisment. As it clearly states features of the product that may be less desirable when considering a blue-ray player. --Guyonphone 23:20, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

While I agree that it's not like an advertisement, the article simply doesn't read like other articles found in an encyclopedia. It sounds kind of like a buying guide. (Myscrnnm 13:22, 26 February 2007 (UTC))

Rewrite needed

I think that this article is in need of a rewrite or major re-organisation. It should have a list of specifications instead of the "advertisement" explanation of features, and it needs to be more like an encyclopedia article. However, it does contain some good information on the player and how it differs from others, but the presentation is bad. Nick 8 (talk) 03:54, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
