editWhy does The Sooty Show link back to Sooty? Sooty just links to itself essentially.
Removed this:
- Steven Vu is now thinking of purchasing the rights to the little yellow bear, Steven Vu is also Chinese.
Unless Wikipedia is telepathic, we can't tell what he is thinking, and a search for that name only finds an ESRI student and a weather trader. This all seems completely irrelevant. -- The Anome 14:20, May 5, 2005 (UTC)
List of episodes
editSOOTY WAS ALSO SHOWN IN THE US. I AM 58 YEARS OLD AND I REMEMBER WATCHING IT AS A CHILD IN THE DETROIT AREA.
Is there any chance someone could create a seperate article listing each and every Sooty episode including original transmission date and synopsis? --Wrh1973 20:11, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
- But there are bloody thousands of them!! Seriously though, I don't know if there's a person alive with the knowledge (and will power) who can do such a task. - NP Chilla 08:41, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
Other Sooty companions
editSooty has had other "companions" other than Harry and Matthew Corbett. Should these people also be included? I am not sure who currently has the rights, but I do know that Mel Harvey (UK magician who is a member of the same magic society that I am in) did own the rights to perform the Sooty Show for a while

Why is this article locked?
editIt's a poorly referenced fansite, with multiple peacock terms and irrelevant references to bands (like every other wikipedia page) Seriously, what's the point of wikipedia? If something this trivial is protected by nazi-admins and cabals then there's no hope. An encyclopedia that anyone can edit? Yeah, right... only a fool or a fascist would believe that.
little cousin scampi
editi've started an article on him as Little Cousin Scampi. Is that his official name, or is it Scampi? (Aurumpotestasest (talk) 19:49, 6 October 2009 (UTC))
- How ridiculous. You don't even know for sure what his name is yet you think he merits an article on his own.All that is there is a redirect to Sooty's page. What a waste of time. Paul210 (talk) 21:12, 6 October 2009 (UTC)

Current Reworking of Article
editThis is just to let any editors who come across the article in its changed state, understand the change. The original article appeared to consist of two sets of information that conflicted with each other and thus made it hard to know what the article was about: one for the fictional character; the other for the franchise based on the character. Due to the issue this was causing, I have begun the process of amending and changing the article to reflect the latter. If other editors are able to help with this endeavour, please do assist. Original research?
editThe entry appears to be almost entierely original research and thus should be removed. SirteP (talk) 13:07, 7 July 2024 (UTC)
