Much information has recently become available about Sophie Gray who was clearly an important part of Millais' (and Effie's) life just before and during the early years of their marriage. She was a significant influence on his painting in the mid 1850s (as were other models on members of the PRB). IXIA (talk) 18:24, 9 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
