Sora Ltd. vs. Project Sora
editDoes anyone know if Sora is a Nintendo second party developer? --Bentendo24 19:27, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
I can't provide a reference but I'm pretty sure it's not. He (Sakurai) makes is very clear that he works freelance.--Erik the guy (talk) 18:35, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
They were bought by Nintendo now.. if anyone can read Japanese you can check their website [1] Mista koo (talk) 11:37, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
Sora Ltd. is Sakurai's own business that he uses when he wants to take on a freelance gig, and is definitely not a Nintendo first- or even second-party studio. Project Sora, on the other hand, is a first-party studio. Nintendo has a 72% stake in Project Sora (the other 28% is held by Sora Ltd. and miscellaneous others), so Project Sora can (should?) be called a subsidiary of Nintendo. (The situation reminds me of Ape, Inc. when it was a joint venture between Nintendo and HAL.) I tried to make the distinction between Sora Ltd. and Project Sora slightly clearer in the article, but if anyone else wants to do more, please go right ahead. There are two more issues that I'm not bold enough to fix; there's not yet an article for Project Sora, and Template:Nintendo developers says that Sora Ltd. (instead of Project Sora) is a first-party developer. 198.189.164.204 (talk) 23:50, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
The references are part of the table, shouldn't they be outside and separate? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:644:8201:DE90:B884:EDE5:C132:CA56 (talk) 02:21, 9 March 2018 (UTC)

edit"Does anyone know if Sora is a Nintendo second party developer? "- yeah wanna know too, but first this company have a simbol?
It doesnt have a logo or a website as far as I know, but you could try looking through a trademark/copyright database to see if it has registered one. Hitmaker 18:12, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
- It now has a logo, which can be seen on the back of the Brawl case. But obviously, it hasn't been scanned yet or publicized in a way we can use on Wikipedia. --haha169 (talk) 23:23, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

editThis page needs some sources. I don't remember hearing any of this in interviews or anything. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.6.89.5 (talk) 19:16, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
- There's almost nothing there. All of that can be summed up by that one ref link at the bottom. --haha169 (talk) 04:46, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
