• Question: presumably this is just a preable for co-opting Soroko to a different purpose? Otherwise this is just redundant disambiguation of a page title. So the real question is what is Soroko going to become? Lithopsian (talk) 14:41, 6 April 2021 (UTC)
• On a purely technical level, if you're going to perform thousands of edits, creating an account becomes useful so you can be contacted at a central talk page. You would also have been able to perform this move yourself (potentially, although in this case it seems a discussion may have been necessary anyway) without recourse to this page or a discussion. I agree. But there is a current RM at Talk:Soroko (surname) that might result in that page being moved. If so, this request becomes moot, as it will be the only article using the title. If the surname page is not moved, then this one should be. I recommend this be put on hold until the other RM is decided. Station1 (talk) 16:53, 6 April 2021 (UTC)

Even assuming that move occurs, Soroko (surname) would still exist, now as a redirect but still referring to the same content: that is, a list of people, some of whore surname's are Soroko. So, the argument for a dab page at Soroko would remain. Lithopsian (talk) 19:16, 6 April 2021 (UTC)

Soroko (surname) would continue to exist as a redirect, but as a redirect it would get almost no hits. A hatnote on Soroko would serve the same function as a two-entry dab page. Station1 (talk) 06:43, 7 April 2021 (UTC)
