Etymology

edit

I think the etymology is inaccurate. Montage is French, from monter ('to mount'). Where did the "together" bit come from? It may be implied, but it's not "literally" as the article says. Quincy 22:32, 23 Apr 2005 (UTC)

From montage. See Talk:Montage. Hyacinth 02:46, 24 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Merge

edit

I merged Musical montage into this article as both where stubs. Hyacinth (talk) 04:25, 3 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Artists & examples

edit

Given that collage is such a widespread technique capable of wide definition all artists and examples should be cited. Hyacinth (talk) 04:41, 3 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Additional citations

Why and where does this article need additional citations for verification? What references does it need and how should they be added? Hyacinth (talk) 22:45, 27 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

This article looks rather well referenced to me. I have deleted the stale banner and some challenged claims going back just as far, and tagged two or three specific remarks that still need sources.—Jerome Kohl (talk) 23:12, 27 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
