Staunton Creek
editOn Citobun's recent edit summary https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=South_Island_line_(West)&diff=1054114669&oldid=1052070292: There are many place names in Hong Kong which are lesser known among people from across the harbour, such as Moreton Terrace, Morrison Hill, Ngo Keng (Bowrington), So Kong Po, Sandy Bay (Tai Hau Wan), Telegraph Bay, Tit Kong (Glenealy) and so on and so forth. Yes they are not as commonly used as those used in the names of MTR stations but that doesn't mean they are no longer relevant to the locals. Staunton Creek as well as Shek Tong Tsui used in this article are among these names. Given a public garden which was built as recent as a handful of years ago was named after Staunton Creek (and Chung Mei in Cantonese) it's evidenced the name is still alive. Please don't undo someone else's edits just because you don't like them and mischaracterise them as disruptive. 203.145.95.32 (talk) 20:41, 8 November 2021 (UTC)
- As you are aware, there is already a discussion on this topic at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Hong Kong. The far-and-away more common name is Wong Chuk Hang. There is no apparent reason to use "Staunton Creek" here. Citobun (talk) 05:11, 10 November 2021 (UTC)
- user:Citobun just ask them to show WP:RS that Staunton Creek is a common day-to-day common name of that area. Matthew hk (talk) 06:11, 10 November 2021 (UTC)
Lead
editAccording to wikipedia's policy, lead is the place to summarize the article , aka "the scope" part of the who body paragraph. And then this article has blank South Island line (West)#History section which omitted a lot of stuff such as this line is not submitted to LegCo for funding yet. Please fix this by rewrite the lead and move content to South Island line (West)#History Matthew hk (talk) 14:57, 30 November 2021 (UTC)
