I write all with three different steps: First in English, what I take from Korean map, then I translate it into Korean, and then I seek in dictionary Hanja version.-- Egon

And then I put it all in alphabedical order...-- Egon

Fabulous work! I've added in that it is in North Korea, as I felt that it needed some context. Secretlondon 16:43, Dec 6, 2003 (UTC)

Can anyone fix the map so that the background is transparent as the map for Namp'o. I need the maps for the swedish wikipedia. // Wellparp 11:37, 16 Jun 2004 (UTC)

I have moved this article from "South P'yongan" to "South Pyongan," in order to avoid using diacritical marks (namely, ') in article titles. This reflects the move someone else already made of "P'yongyang" to "Pyongyang." --Sewing 18:23, 15 Aug 2004 (UTC)

County or not county ?

edit
The below former counties of South Pyongan were merged with Nampo in 2004 and are administered as part of that city:
Chollima-guyok (천리마군/千里馬郡)
Kangso-guyok (강서군/江西郡)
Ryonggang County (룡강군/龍岡郡)
Taean-guyok-gun (대안군/大安郡)

This looks weird. Each former county was formerly named 군. When merged wit Nampo, some were renamed 구역. The parenthetical Hangul names are the former names (why not, this can be an editorial choice). But the Roman names should be either all new or all former. We should have either Ryonggang-gun or Ryonggang-guyok (according to the actual name). And either Taean-guyok or Taean-gun. But what could be a guyok-gun ? Pldx1 (talk) 08:55, 24 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
