Simultaneously with Republic Cafe and Ming Lounge, I'll review this too. GeraldWL (Pine wish!) 11:24, 11 December 2020 (UTC)

edit- "because of a lack of a lease"-- suggest removing the two a-s for more natural flow of read. GeraldWL 16:24, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
Description
edit- "Southeast Grind, located along Powell Boulevard in southeast Portland's Hosford-Abernethy neighborhood, operated as the city's only around-the-clock coffeehouse, as of 2019" is supported with two citations. Normally, the reference must be put after a specific claim(s) it supports. Suggest moving one of the citations to the desired specific location, or remove it if it's duplicate. GeraldWL 16:24, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
- Similarly to "pastries, quesadillas, salads, sandwiches, and other snacks, with gluten-free and vegan choices. The Night Rider had coffee, two espresso shots, and white chocolate." GeraldWL 16:24, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
- I'd argue too many citations will be displayed if we place them after each specific claim they verify. I'd rather see these bundled at the end since they overlap confirming specific foods. There's no harm here... editors can easily verify the claims by visiting either citation, and this keeps the text nice and clean. ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:09, 12 December 2020 (UTC)

- Link patio? GeraldWL 16:24, 12 December 2020 (UTC)

- Per the Sellwood Bee article, the only part of title is "Bee." I wanted to check the reference to see if it states "The Bee," however somehow my laptop won't load the site. GeraldWL 16:24, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
- What's the issue here? The publication is called "The Bee", but Wikipedia uses "Sellwood Bee", I assume as a form of natural disambiguation since the publication has also been known by this name. ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:57, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
- Statements on students and bulletin boards are just simply quoting. I find a wide room for paraphrasing there, as it is not a personal opinion of the writer. GeraldWL 16:24, 12 December 2020 (UTC)

History
edit- Similar concern of double citations on paragraph 2 sentence 1, as well as statement 3. GeraldWL 16:24, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
- Not sure what you mean here, but there's no harm in having two citations to verify a claim. ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:08, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
- Suggest having the mid-Oct-2019 statement in separate paragraph, as 2009 and X19 is a far difference. GeraldWL 16:24, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
- If there's a brief description on Phoenix Roasters on the citation(s), adding them here would be appreciated. GeraldWL 16:24, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
- Gerald Waldo Luis, Phoenix Roasters is just another coffee joint. I don't think a description is needed, but worth noting another coffee establishment took over as the city's only 24-hr coffee operation. ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:01, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
- Another Believer, to make it worth noting, I suggest having "coffee establishment" preceding "Phoenix Roasters." GeraldWL 14:16, 13 December 2020 (UTC)

Reception
edit- "Writing for Willamette Week in 2015, Pete Cottell included Coffee Time and two other coffeehouses in the "dive" category in his overview of Portland's best coffee shops for working on a laptop." This does not indicate relation with Southeast Grind. Should it be "Writing for Willamette Week in 2015, Pete Cottell included Southeast Grind and two other coffeehouses in the "dive" category in his overview of Portland's best coffee shops for working on a laptop"? GeraldWL 16:24, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
- Gerald Waldo Luis, Yup! Oops! Fixed Sorry I copied this over from the Coffee Time article to save time and forgot to update the name of the coffeehouse. ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:02, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
- Link 24/7 service in "24/7"? GeraldWL 16:24, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
- Instead, I linked "around-the-clock" higher up in the article. ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:04, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
- "...and locally made art." Is this referring to murals or street art? GeraldWL 16:24, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
- Neither. Locally made art can be anything... sculpture, paintings, drawings, etc. I don't think a link is needed here. ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:04, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
- "She said the shop was "a bit far" from the University of Portland but "worth the drive""-- suggest remodel to "Although she noted that it was "a bit far" from the University of Portland, she convinced that it was "worth the drive"." GeraldWL 16:24, 12 December 2020 (UTC)

Overall
editIf all the issues above are addressed, and if the logo is already reduced (I'll see if I can reduce it myself), I'll pass this. GeraldWL 16:24, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
- Another Believer, I tried removing the background, but it won't allow me to upload. Can you do it? The white background looks annoying. GeraldWL 16:42, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
- Gerald Waldo Luis, I don't know how to do this. ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:06, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
Good news, I found some images at Flickr and uploaded to Commons, so now the article is illustrated. ---Another Believer (Talk) 20:00, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
- Another Believer, that looks awesome! Btw, I took information from the Wilamette link in the external links and placed it in "Reception" so that this article doesn't need a weird "Further reading" section. What do you think? GeraldWL 16:00, 13 December 2020 (UTC)
- Gerald Waldo Luis, Actually, I found the commentary is more about the experience than the establishment. I've adde back to External links section so readers have access even though this doesn't say too much about the establishment itself. ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:12, 13 December 2020 (UTC)
- Another Believer, it would be more suitable in a further reading section, as it is not typical to what exlinks are supposed to be (official sites, databases, sister projects). GeraldWL 16:19, 13 December 2020 (UTC)
- Gerald Waldo Luis, Done ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:23, 13 December 2020 (UTC)
- Another Believer, and from there it has passed the GA criteria. ONLY-- we just have to wait DatBot or DeltaBot in cricket silence. GeraldWL 16:57, 13 December 2020 (UTC)
