SANAM Not Baku-based

SANAM is not a Baku-based organization, its founder Mahmudali Chohraganli is a U.S. resident, and was recently deported from Azerbaijan. So the information from Radio Free Europe taken out of context is simply false. Atabek 15:44, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

Let me state for the record that I do not support this organization. This organization probably is seperatists like the previous version described it as. However, it had no sources. The current version reflects it's UNPO description. Let me also state for the record that I wish Azerbaijan of Iran was represented in the UNPO (Unrepresented Nations and People Organization) by some of it's own people. --- Farzinf 11:22, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

You cited the UNPO, however, the information you put into the article was just a summary from GAMOH's own website, as indicated at the bottom of the UNPO page: [1] Please use neutral third party sources. Interpretation of sources

The RFERL source clearly says: The Baku-based GAMOH advocates unification of Azeris living on both sides of the Araxes River, which separates Iran from Azerbaijan. We used this source to support the claim that the group was funded by Baku. There is no ground to suddenly change the content of the source.Neftchi (talk) 09:36, 20 April 2011 (UTC)

You can not copy/paste an entire paragraph from RFERL, word by word, that's a violation of copy rights laws. I'm replacing it with a shortened quotation, and I am also adding a line about SANAM being a separatist group, which is referenced to William_Beeman, an expert/specialist source about the region. Please check the source, its is not an entire paragraph. It is exacly only 1 sentence, that is allowed in copyright. Besides there are copy/paste sentences that are much longer than this one. And also your "shortened version" has changed the context of the sentence into something with an entirely different meaning. "unification with Azerbaijanis" in Republic of Azerbaijan - that is not supported by any source. Another this is your short version has actually made the sentence even longer. So this really is not about copyright or length of a sentence. If you dont agree with the sentence, its your personal problem. We use the RFERL source than suddenly in the middle of the sentence you change from source into something you prefer. Neftchi (talk) 17:57, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

The article is very shallow

It does not explain:

• The social context during which this organisation was set up
• International reactions to the organisation e.g. supportive
• Activities carried out
• Policy in detail and how they hope to achive it
• Internal reactions from the Iranian government
• Influence in Northern Iran
• Involvement with other groups e.g. Grey Wolves
• Pictures e.g. seperatist flag
• Number of known active members

If we explain these points clearly nuetraly we will achive a very good article indeed.Tugrulirmak (talk) 10:00, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
