I came across this page while reading about the Kangaroo route. While reading it, I realized that it was geared too much towards a specialist. For example, the airport in Papeete, Tahiti, known as Faa'a, is not necessarily one that many travelers would have heard about. When I read about it, I had no idea where Faa'a was. Someone else who comes across this may want to have the displayed text read "Tahiti Faa'a", or "Papeete", or "Papeete, Tahiti". Along these lines, I also considered displaying "Auckland" as "Auckland, New Zealand", but given that it is an international capital, and only those considering travel to/from Australia or New Zealand will reach this page, it seems reasonable for the audience. Similarly, LAX is a term used heavily by (us) Americans, but a casual reader may not be familiar with the airport code.
After reading it, I decided that this article read like a list of airlines, and whether or not they fly the Southern Cross Route. I've restructured it to read: no-plane change, plane change, South American carriers. With the introduction of the Boeing 777 and Airbus 380, there may be room for a "direct" group that may fly this route as well (as a result of ETOPS clearance).
Room for improvement exists as there are no citations; two US carriers fly this route, but only one is mentioned. (I believe the other is American Airlines, but this needs verification as they may simply code share). It is also unclear how LAX-SYD vs. LAX-AKL flights / routes should be mentioned.
