Battlestar Galactica licence - isn't that an MWP thing?

edit

I'm pretty sure that Sovereign Press had morphed into Margaret Weis Productions by the time that it had the Battlestar Galactica licence.

I'm currently pushing for the Margaret Weis Productions, Ltd article to be demerged from Margaret Weis. But I think that (considering that Sovereign Press ceased to exist when Margaret Weis Productions came into existance) this article should be merged into the recreated Margaret Weis Productions, Ltd article. I think the MWP article, should be written in a style that allows for a Sovereign Press, Inc section that shows what was created before the company transformed. BSG is indeed a MWP thing. But they were running for about two years at the same time with Sovereign Press producing D20 products for Dragonlance while MWP were producing Cortex games like Serenity. I haven't found a notable reference for MWP taking over Dragonlance in 2006 which is why I haven't included it in my recent re-write. Neonchameleon (talk) 02:03, 12 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

External help requested for cleaing up this article

edit

The history of this company is a bit muddled with the history of Margaret Weis Productions, Ltd. So I have requested help on the Dragonlance Forums. I'm hoping that some of the experts that hang out on that forum, can identify some good secondary sources that can be used to improve this article.

One thing that needs investigating is the current status of SP. I was under the impression that the company was somehow merged into or replaced by MWP. This needs investigation, as a merger of this article (into the recently restored MWP article) might be appropriate. However, as I do not have accurate information (yet) I am not going to tag this article for merger. Big Mac (talk) 15:33, 14 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
