I don't understand "The epithet itself is attributed to Carlyle to Lord Byron" (Carlyle called Byron spasmodic?) or "to dignify it" (to dignify their work by calling it verse?). Maybe someone who does could clarify them. —JerryFriedman 21:56, 2 Feb 2005 (UTC)
