Name origin
editThis page says that the Turnpike was named for Governor Huntley N. Spaulding, which makes sense, but the page doesn't seem like a reliable source, in spite of its stated connection to the governor. Unfortunately I can't find a thing on the state government website or local history websites. Mapsax (talk) 15:44, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
- Good to be treading with care here; Huntley Spaulding had a brother, Rolland H. Spaulding, who was also governor of New Hampshire. I don't have any good sources for which Spaulding at this point. --Ken Gallager (talk) 18:35, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
