- I think it was split from that article in first place for being something else. At any rate if this stays, it should be moved to pīrādziņi (pīrāgs being common name for pie, not a distinct dish) ~~Xil (talk) 18:34, 17 April 2011 (UTC)

Pīrags → pīrādziņi – Xil (talk · contribs) above states that this is the proper name for the dish, not Pīrags. D O N D E groovily Talk to me 03:27, 4 April 2012 (UTC)
- Comment - If a move is contemplated, it should be capitalized, i.e. Pīrādziņi, to comply with article naming conventions. Jojalozzo 17:09, 4 April 2012 (UTC)
- Move to Pīrādziņi per above. --Edgars2007 (Talk/Contributions) 16:56, 10 April 2012 (UTC)

About that move
editThe singular (pīrāgs) is certainly not the proper name for the dish (versus "one of" them), but I've never seen them as "pīrādziņi" in any Latvian cook book, they are either pīrāgi or speķa rauši, not pīrādziņi or speķa raušiņi. Just saying, not suggesting another rename at this time. VєсrumЬа ►TALK 17:16, 1 June 2013 (UTC)
- True, calling them "pīrādziņi"/"pīrāgi" would be like calling an "apple pie" simply "pie", which may make somewhat sense colloquially, but does not work as a title of the page. Following the recent edits, I renamed the page to "speķrauši", but the discussion about which one of these names is the most common one and thus can used as the page name is still open. –Turaids (talk) 09:49, 19 July 2018 (UTC)
