Setencich, Allen
editI just reverted the removal of the footnotes regarding the election of Setencich and Allen by Democrats following the end of Willie Brown's speakership. The footnotes are a neutral statement of fact; if it actually said they were lame ducks or puppet of Willie Brown (which is widely accepted), then it would be "biased" as the remover said. It's possible that it isn't relevant to this page and we can discuss removing it for that reason, but it should not be removed for "bias" when there is none. Mike Dillon 13:45, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
District numbers
editIncluding district numbers in this list is problematic for two reasons. The first is that the data is currently unsourced, so we have people changing them from one thing to another without pointing to the source that caused them to change it. The second reason, which is more important, is redistricting. The district numbers are almost totally useless historically. "District 1" was not the same in 1906 as it is now in 2006, so having two entries that just say "1" in the District column is misleading if they aren't the same "District 1". Image copyright problem with File:Leo McCarthy.jpg
editThe image File:Leo McCarthy.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
- That this article is linked to from the image description page.
