Past tense

edit

Might it be a bit early to be talking about the show in the past tense? I'm not sure why someone was so eager to 'update' the tense throughout the entire article. We still don't really know the ultimate status of production. Theoretically the show could com back at any moment, until it's actually announced that the show has been canceled. Just seems a bit premature.--ende 14:13, 28 September 2009 (UTC)

Fabio

edit

Fabio was obviously going to be introduced as an owner or cheif director of the show. But, Setanta have now changed his role to relate to the kevin keegan and alan curbishley affairs. You do hope, though, that this won't end the same way. (i.e. jose walking out) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zacitty (talkcontribs) 07:27, 30 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Quotes

edit

Totally unnecessary. These aren't even worth adding to Wikiquote. They were just reverted back in without so much as an edit summary, but unless there's an actual reason for us to be hosting borderline copyright violations in the form of minutes-worth of skits then these should be removed again. Why do we put these into the article? Because it is known as a funny program, and people need to know why. Zacitty (talk) 07:46, 14 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
They do not need to know by example. We can explain the humour in prose, as we do in articles on Monty Python's Flying Circus, Friends and so on. This is the difference between a poor article and a good one. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 09:41, 14 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Rename article

edit

Unless anyone objects, I'll rename the article from I'm on Setanta Sports to Special 1 TV (and do a re-direct); it's the exact same show, just renamed, so I can't see any reason to create a new article. Greg Salter (talk) 19:36, 31 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Demise of Setanta's UK division

edit

Can we establish that the programme is no longer in production? Zacitty (talk) 08:50, 27 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

We can't, because no announcement has (to the best of my knowledge), been made yet as to Special 1 TV's fate, it is possible (though it seems unlikely) that it will continue on Setanta Ireland who retain a single package (out of the three they had) of Premier League rights for next season. I guess we'll know in a few weeks time, though... Rdd (talk) 21:45, 28 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
