Improper Page Move

I went and reverted a page move for the following two reasons

  1. The page move was never discussed on the talk page nor a reason given as to why the page should be moved
  2. Half of this article is about the geometric figure spidron while the other half is about the sci-fi character. They both tie together as to the origins of the name spidron, what it really means, and how it was later used as the name for the sci-fi alien.

I also feel splitting the article ionto two, one for the geometric data and the other for the sci-fi character, would be a bad idea. The article is too too short to make it even shorted by splitting it. -Husnock 21:50, 9 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Triangle strip

The image implies both a symmetry and an infinite number of triangles which the text seems not to, and that seems slightly confusing. In computer graphics, and specifically OpenGL, these are called simply, triangle strips. linas 00:03, 19 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Based on the external link I just added, I believe the "infiniteness" is a necessary feature. It looks like there are more constraints to "spidronness" than simply being a triangle strip. Bryan 06:29, 21 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
It must be a 2D spiral triangle stripe. A 3D spiral triangle stripe would be a deformed spidron. Hyacinth (talk) 06:43, 7 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
