Handles
edit"By the twentieth century metal handles and detachable blades had become the most common." While I have seen a number of spokeshaves with metal handles, I have seen a lot more with wooden handles. These are my observations in Germany and, to a lesser extent, in the U.S. Could the statement in the article be cultural imperialism?Kdammers (talk) 02:58, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
History and prehistory
editI've started a discussion in Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Archaeology about possibly removing/moving the section on prehistoric spokeshaves to another more suitable article. The prehistoric tool and the modern tool have no real historical link other than the name. LittleDwangs (talk) 15:41, 11 November 2020 (UTC)
- Based on feedback from the above I have removed the archaeology section.LittleDwangs (talk) 22:27, 14 November 2020 (UTC)
