undue weight on status of Russia's olympic status in intro
editI looked at a dozen other random countries, and none of them have anything close to what this article has as far as the intro focusing on the last 3 years of sport in the country. this should be mentioned in the intro, and talked about in more detail in its own section. I came away from the intro with very little information about sports in Russia, and instead got what I'd expect from an intro of an article like 'Russia in the Olympics (2020-present)'. 2600:8800:1D05:8D00:697D:88A0:DF52:98AC (talk) 11:24, 12 February 2024 (UTC)

editYou think they American football,or Streetball?
Yes but where is the paragraph about the athletics? That's quiete a big missing!91.84.137.201 (talk) 19:46, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
- Uh, I couldn't find very much about American Football in Russia (several youth clubs though, and the first was in Moscow so it's not an unknown sport or anything), but then again, I can't read Cyrillic, so there's a lot I'm missing. Yes, there is quite a bit missing about the athletes (Athletics in general, I guess?), not to mention swimming, gymnastics (non-rhythmic, which Russia has produced some of the best of), wrestling etc. I know they're mentioned in the top summary, but that's just it: they're mentioned, but not elaborated on. I have... most of the weekend off, so I'll be doing some research and editing here. Hackeru (talk) 19:44, 23 November 2012 (UTC)
