editI recently rode Amtrak's Empire Builder which passes through the town and heard a member of the train crew on my radio scanner say that Sprague used to be the (a?) division point on the Northern Pacific Railroad and the site of their shops, but that the shops were made out of wood and when they burned down, Spokane was a bigger city and the shops moved there. Moreover, the other person didn't think the Wikipedia entry on the town would be "half as good" as the trivia mentioned.
Now this is a recollection of what I heard, and they might have said it was a rumor, but a Web search turns up "08/03/1895 : Fire at Sprague, Washington, destroys the town and the Northern Pacific Railroad shops." on [1]. Jason McHuff (talk) 00:09, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

editI lived in Sprague from 1961 to 1968, never heard the creek called Negro Creek. On the edit page, the paragraph is missing and thus, not sourced. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.234.221.18 (talk) 04:18, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
Sprague Lake
editSprague Lake links here, but the article does not even mention the lake, which is several miles west of the town. - Jmabel | Talk 07:33, 28 September 2013 (UTC)
