editNew user Wikijoe77 tried twice to blank out the Background section. I rolled it back both times, but added notices to the article indicating it needs work. I let him know this on his talk page. -- DanielKlotz (talk · contribs) 05:14, 19 March 2011 (UTC)

editThis high school is a combination of two former high schools. Any notable alumni are really old from the original Springfield High School. However, there are several notable alumni from North and South. Since the high school is a combination of the two former ones, should the notable alumni of either North or South High School be included in this page?
clarity in this article.
editIt is very unclear what the exact history is, but it appears a school by this name existed until 1960. from then until 2008 there were two schools that took its place named North and South, both of which have articles. In 2008, they re-merged and again became springfield High School.
If that s correct, here is what I propose. All reference to the other two schools should be removed from this article and put into their respective articles. This article should only cover pre-1960 and post-2008. I have not looked at the other two school articles yet.
Another approach might be to follow the location. as I understand it, the pre-60 school became south and the post-08 school is in North's location.
I don't have the answer, and it is a complicated question. All i know is what we have here is not serving the users of this encyclopedia very well. Any and all input is welcome. John from Idegon (talk) 00:07, 28 July 2014 (UTC)
