I don't think this article really cuts it as a spaghetti junction article, if you compare it with the others in this category, which tend to be complicated intersections between multiple major motorways. I think this intersection is really more of a "blackspot". 203.11.72.4 06:06, 30 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Perhaps it isn't as hectic as other junctions, but that does not change the fact that Melburnians commonly use the name "Spaghetti Junction" to describe it - in fact, the name is far more common than "Springvale Junction." If they were looking for a wikipedia article about this intersection, spaghetti junction is the first thing they would search for. You cannot strip it of its common name just because other Spaghetti Junctions are messier or different. Aspirex 11:15, 1 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

I added the geo-coordinates template. Is the location shown correct -- between the two roadways M1 and Police Road? It looks like a new roadway was being constructed at the time of the photo, which I assumed to be the M80. --Bossi (talk ;; contribs) 17:48, 1 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Not quite right. You've highlighted the intersection between EastLink, which I think will be signed as M80, and the Monash Freeway, M1, which is near Police Road. Spaghetti junction is slightly to its west - Springvale Road runs N/S, Police Road runs E/W and the Princes Hwy runs SE/NW. The confusion arises because the Princes Hwy used to be signed as M1, and is now signed as Alt 1. I would have changed the co-ordinates myself, but my dial-up is slow, so if you could make the change, that would be fantastic. Aspirex 04:14, 3 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
I have now made the coordinates correct. Aspirex 04:25, 11 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
