editThere is/was another Springville located in Ventura County, California. Located in the area of Artisian Well, it thrived in the later half of the 1800's until the US Government purchased most of the land to build the Oxnard Air Force during the 1940's. The base closed around 1970. Camarillo Airport now occupies the multi use property and shares the large facility with many local government training facilities such as the Ventura County Fire and Sheriff's Department.
The only standing structure leftover from this Springville is the Springville Grammer School built in 1887. It's replacement one room schoolhouse, built in 1930, is a Spanish style adobe and has been converted to the 'Springville Winery'. It stands at the corner of Pleasant Valley Road and Wood Road, just a strawberry field away from the Camarillo Airport. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.118.141.33 (talk) 22:28, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
