Change name to Spruce Creek Airport?
editMaybe this article name should be changed to Spruce Creek Airport to keep the Realtor from cluttering this page. This is not the first time he's done it. Gamweb (talk) 00:20, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
- Agreed - Done. Oh and I did leave a comment on that user's talk page. Thanks for letting me know! --Pilotboi / talk / contribs 14:49, 13 December 2008 (UTC)
There's still too much ambiguity between the airport proper and the Fly-In as a whole. Most people will simply look at this page and wonder why you have called it "Airport" instead of "Spruce Creek Fly-In". People rarely think of the airport without including the community by default. If this page intends to address one but not the other, the lines need to be more clearly drawn. I have modified the article's language to try to achieve this.--TampAGS (talk) 21:13, 8 September 2009 (UTC)
The Spruce Creek Fly-In is a unique community, larger than many cities with 5,000 residents. The center of the community is the Spruce Creek Airport, a private, invitation-only airport owned by the property owners of the Spruce Creek Fly-In. You removed a lot of the facts of this community, unique in the world. It just does not fit your "mold" and now you have an article that's essentially devoid of information. Go check the independent, volunteer-run sites http://www.7fl6.com and http://www.sprucecreekjournal.com. also check airnav.com and enter 7FL6 for the airport code. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.204.26.130 (talk) 18:20, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
Also, you quote/ref. information from http://www.7fl6.com ("...surrounding the airport on all sides with over 1,300 homes, a championship golf course and country club, and 24-hour patrolled security..." but erroneously credit scpoa.com
Lastly, scpoa.org has nothing to do with Spruce Creek... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.204.26.130 (talk) 18:23, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
