I just added a link to an article in Nature's news section which reports the discovery of two new virophages. These may warrant their own articles after more details become available. 76.199.13.86 (talk) 03:29, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
Which is APMV
editThis article says "Mamavirus is formally known as Acanthamoeba polyphaga mimivirus (APMV) and is a close relative of the previously known mimivirus. " but mimivirus says it is APMV. - Rod57 (talk) 11:23, 16 May 2011 (UTC)
- I also think the difference between mimivirus (APMV) and mamavirus should be clarified.--Miguelferig (talk) 14:53, 12 May 2013 (UTC)
Redirection from Virophage
editIt must be created a different article called "Virophages" due to the fact that Sputnik is not the only virophage. So redirection in that wiki must be eliminated and the proper article must be created. In my opinion. --Torrenkte (talk) 11:32, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
Yes ! And the word "satellite" is not appropriate. No virus should have been called Sputnik, these are parasites. 109.21.123.70 (talk) 20:57, 17 April 2020 (UTC)
