Talk:Squadrismo

Improvement of the article's content

edit

As part of my University project, I would like to help improve this article. In the first place, I want to make the introductory sentences clearer; when comparing the French article on Squadrismo, with the English one, I believe the French to tackle the main points better. I would therefore like to contribute to the clarity on the topic in the introductory sentence. Furthermore, the first subheading 'Revolutions, vigilantes, and violence', has a warning banner indicating the questioning of the neutrality of the section. I would, thus, like to help improve this section, but also make it clearer, as I have trouble grasping the connections between each sentences within the section. Furthermore, I believe a section on the origins or history of squadrismo would be insightful and helpful to understand the section on 'revolutions, vigilantes, and violence' better, and give it more relevance. These three points are therefore what I would like to try and improve in this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sarahlola123 (talkcontribs) 12:28, 5 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Note on changes made

edit

In regard to this previous note, I have now added my contribution to the article. I changed the lead in order to make it more comprehensive and summarise the main points of the article. Furthermore, I added a section on origins and on the contribution of Squadrismo in the success of the National Fascist Party with the March on Rome. I left two sections written by the previous author. However, I believe this article should adhere to a more chronological assessment of the events of the squadrismo. Consequently, in order to further improve the article I believe the section on 'Conflict between Mussolini and the Squadrismo’ should be replaced by a section discussing the aftermath of the March on Rome which was a turning point to Squadrismo's legitimacy of violence and support from Mussolini with the Consolidated Public Safety Act. I would recommend the article by Matteo Millan on the 'Institutionalization of Squadrismo.' — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sarahlola123 (talkcontribs) 12:54, 13 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
