Incorrect renaming of article

"St. Alexander's Church, Warsaw", has been moved inorrectly to "Church of St. Alexander (Warsaw)".

In English, that is as incorrect as it would be to move "Holy Cross Church, Warsaw" to "Church of the Holy Cross (Warsaw)". (There are at least 9 other "Holy Cross Churches", correctly so named, in various countries, as so far is also the one in Warsaw, Poland.)

Ok, I will explain my reasoning. I did this, becouse if you look into this category (Category:Roman Catholic churches in Warsaw), and many like it, you notice that most churches named after people tend to be "Church of St. Whathisname", while "Whathisname's Church" also sporadically appear. I tried to add more consistency to make it more standarised in the articles. I think there should maybe be a discussion on which way the names should be used when translating those names; because to me, it seems that for the most part, it just depended on who happened to originally translate those articles. Also, about the Holy Cross Church; I think it's a bad example, as its name is about inanimate object. Comparably, other famouse church in Warsaw you could have bring up could be Church of the Holiest Saviour, which would then back up the naming convention I have chosen instead.Artemis Andromeda (talk) 12:55, 2 April 2024 (UTC)

Also on a sidenote, I belive that when article is about a builing on a place, and not a locality (town, neighbourhood, street), you are supposed to add the name of the town on the parenthesise [Church of Whathisname (Warsaw)], and not after the comma [Church of Whathisname, Warsaw].Artemis Andromeda (talk) 12:58, 2 April 2024 (UTC)

@Artemis Andromeda: your reasoning is inaccurate:

"St. Alexander's Church, Warsaw" is the pattern, not the exception.

And, for obvious reasons of clarity, there couldn't be something like "Holiest Saviour Church", where it wouldn't be clear what is "holiest" – the saviour or the church?

@Artemis Andromeda @Nihil novi My thoughts: 1) it's always best practice to explain one's rationale 2) standardization is good 3) correct English use is good too 4) perhaps this is something to be discussed at a wider forum.
