The church's being "on Russian soil"
editWhen I visited this church in 2000, I believe I recall having been told that- at one time, at least- the plot of land was considered to be Russian soil, I suppose in the same sense that an embassy's grounds are considered to be the sovereign property of that respective nation. This blog seems to confirm the existence of that story, whether it's true or not. I haven't been able to track down anything more authoritative. —Bill Price (nyb) 01:20, 14 October 2012 (UTC)
