Obviously someone who would claim to be from St. Ann's College [1]. A pity that the good work done by many can be ruined by one. From reading the new information it seems highly likely that it was entirely copied from the College website. ABVS1936 (talk) 02:39, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

Word to the wise

You may be aware that the St Mark's College page was recently nominated for deletion (the result was keep). As a result of the nomination, many references were added and a significant amount of "cruft" removed in order to ensure the page complied with Wikipedia's guidelines (WP:VERIFY and WP:NOTE specifically). The other SAAUCC pages could do with much of the same sort of cleaning up if they are to avoid problems like this too, as they are presently less referenced and more crufty than the St Mark's page was prior to the AfD. I think you ought to reference the college history that was published a while ago - St Ann's College : the first fifty years 1947-1997 by Pauline Payne ; edited by Margaret Adams and Rosemary Brooks Published: North Adelaide : St Ann’s College ; c1998. I'm not being lazy by not adding it myself, just new to Wiki and don't know exactly where it goes.

"Through Learning Light"

Surely this motto actually means "Through the light of Learning" or "Through learning to Enlightenment" or something like that. Can't find it anywhere on the net though. Does someone at the college want to add it? I'll take your word for it.--Yeti Hunter 23:20, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

Copyvio infringement

I just reverted about 15 edits by 192.43.227.18 - most of which was a direct copyvio from the St Ann's College Website. Please dont give potential trolls any ammunition with which to delete this page (see above). If you want to add back the information, PLEASE write it in your own words and include relevent citations, preferably from sources other than the Website (though this is not essential). this is part of what was reverted as a copyvio:

History The College was established in 1939 and affiliated with the University of Adelaide as a non-denominational university college for women. It opened to students in 1947 after the war. In 1973 the Council decided that the College should be co-residential, and there are now approximately equal numbers of male and female students. The original property at 187 Brougham Place was bequeathed by Mr Sidney Wilcox. The adjoining premises at 191 Brougham Place, 292 and 298 Melbourne Street were later acquired and a spacious dining hall and common room built in 1961. The latter were named in recognition of the service to the College of Dr Helen Mayo. Following the 2001-4 construction of the Dame Roma Mitchell Building and major refurbishments, most student rooms have an ensuite bathroom and air conditioning; all have high-speed internet access.

Blue and White AB

A key fundamental of college life is the historic AB made by the resident cafe of College known as the Blue and White (also Tony Pigrooters or the Grease). Substandard meals in the college kitchen have made this grease ridden feast a necessity to make it through the week.
