For some bizarre reason, the 'staves' link in "barrel" directs here... how are the flat wooden (fencepost-like) pieces related to anything called a staff? I mean there are staves made of wood for walking, but...

This can be confusing because staves is one of the acceptable plural forms of staff. However, the word stave (without the 's') is not synomymous with staff, except in the particular sense of refering to a musical staff. A stave (pl. staves) can also refer to one of the components of a barrel or cask, but it is most certainly never called a staff. I've tried to make this distinction clearer, as well as adding wiktionary links for both words.--Dmeranda 21:47, 14 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

The most frequeny use of STAFF is EMPLOYEES, and that should be refected in the article.

The number of employees in west central railway is not mentioned in wikipedia, also women strength not mentioned. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.168.10.199 (talk) 16:22, 10 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
