Overall: Article meets requirements for length, newness, and lack of copyvio. Assuming good faith for the offline, print sources cited (I can verify that they exist although Google Books previews are of limited utility). ALT0 was just over the hook length (206 characters vs 200), so I trimmed it down. Either ALT1 or ALT0 seem like they would work well. Very interesting article btw! @Cavalryman: I don't know if you'd be interested in a quirky slot, but would something like "Jack Russel actually bred Staghounds?" be an acceptable alt hook? Kingsif (talk) 18:31, 4 August 2021 (UTC)

Hello @Kingsif: my only issue that is none of the sources cited indicate he actually bred from the hounds himself, the sources are not explicit but it is inferred he owned them for a period then passed them on to a friend who bred from them.
