Lead  Done

• 'Oceans' seems too common a term to link, though it has importance in an article about an aquatic organism. Done
• '... and five arms though some species ...' - '... and five arms, though some species ...' Done
• '... shades of red or orange but others are blue, grey ...' - '... shades of red or orange while others are blue, grey ...' Done
• ' (>6000 metres)' convert metre to ft. Done

Suggestions:

• It should probably be noted in the beginning of the article that a more appropriate term is "Sea star," as they are an Echinoderm, and many biologists are trying to phase-out the antiquated "Starfish." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.180.249.182 (talk) 00:13, 14 July 2013 (UTC)
• After lead, you could perhaps make a section 'Taxonomy', where you describe who named the class and when. 'Diversity' can be transferred to this section, as it seems to break the flow, coming between 'Distribution' and 'Threats'.
• 'Research' is a very small section, could be merged in 'Appearance', with if possible more info, under the name 'Chemical properties' or such.

• 'light-colored' - Should use British English, colour. All mayn't understand American English. Look for other instances. Done some examples but their may be one or two I have missed.

Great, you have resolved all issues! I can promote this as GA, but the suggestions remain. Well, I just found a few articles which show a starfish species as a threat. May be good to mention in the article. Take a look:

I have added a little more about the crown-of-thorns starfish in the Diet section but it is not really relevant to the Threats section. I have expanded the latter a little with information on the consequences of an oil spill. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 13:23, 21 October 2012 (UTC)

• Just one more issue. About this "Gallery" section at the last, I think it is not required. Bivalvia, another article of a class, also does not use it. And even if it is needed, it should be placed after "Threats" (the last section of the actual text).
