astrological meanings

I suggest you move astrological meanings of stars from respective star articles here. If the star has a substantial historical section, something could be mentioned there briefly (in one sentence, for example). Clarification of principle: The above comment is merely one editor's personal suggestion. There is no established WP policy to state that astrological meanings of stars must all be placed here, ensuring that little more than one sentence is retained elsewhere. The page has been redefined as a list, and can be productively used as a general introduction and central reference to available star meanings throughout Wikipedia. If the content on the main star pages exends beyond modest reference, it is recommended that the information be given its own WP entry which can be referenced from the main star feature as well as this list. WikiProjects

I notice this Talk page has suddenly been added with templates for various WikiProjects: Astronomy, History of Science and even Agriculture. It is not overtagging, since the study of the cycles of the stars in ancient times is the basis on which astronomy grew from. And the cycles were studied to determine the correct time to plant. New name and list

There is no concensus to change this article to a list article and change it's name. Also it is still in AfD discussion. Please revert. MakeSense64 (talk) 11:57, 13 July 2011 (UTC)

I have also restored the text here. While I was adding a very outliney set of introductory paragraphs, someone apparently moved this to List of stars in astrology. We now have both that and Stars in astrology. I think this ought to be a bit more than a list, myself, and as such have added introductory material. It's going to need work and references, to be sure, but I've at least put a skeleton together of topics that I think ought to be covered here. - Smerdis of Tlön - killing the human spirit since 2003! 15:39, 13 July 2011 (UTC)

Yes, I noticed the ongoing problems. I think the repeated attempts to reduce this article to a list should stop. There is the bold-revert-discuss principle, and continuing to try to change the title and type of this article is not in line with that.

Being stopped from improving an article that was put into AfD cannot be right.

Hi Smerdis of Tlön - I keep watching this page grow and noticing the great job you are doing with it. I'll try to add little additions as and when I can if that's OK. One thing I wondered - would it be OK to add the Wiki astrology project box? Seems a bit cheeky to ask since I initially objected to the page and you have since done so much of the work yourself. Maybe it would be a useful thing to add later when the list of stars has grown long enough to cause a problem with the amount of white space to fill on the right hand side?
