Article name
editStarship Children's Health - I had never heard of them. But I have heard of Starship Hospital a lot. So this may well be their official name, but is it the common name? I doubt it. Throwing the names in quotation marks into Google, I get twice as many hits for Starship Hospital. Is there appetite for changing the article name? Before turning this into a formal move request, I thought I'd ask what some of the page watchers have to say. Schwede66 19:00, 19 June 2015 (UTC)
- I'd definitely support such a move. I might boldly propose it, per WP:COMMONNAME. Cheers, Basie (talk) 09:39, 5 July 2018 (UTC)
- I note way back when, someone had the opposite idea. Basie (talk) 09:43, 5 July 2018 (UTC)

Starship Children's Health → Starship Hospital – I think WP:COMMONNAME pretty much says it all here. "Starship Children's Health" should certainly be bolded in the lede, but "Starship Hospital" is how it's commonly referred to. It's also the site title of https://starship.org.nz (interestingly, the site prominently uses "Starship Child Health" on the front page, I don't recall that being there before). Disclosure: I worked at Starship for over a decade, though I no longer do. Basie (talk) 09:53, 5 July 2018 (UTC)--Relisting. Dekimasuよ! 18:29, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
- Support It seems I had similar thoughts three years ago (see the item above) but nothing happened... Schwede66 10:05, 6 July 2018 (UTC)
- I'm undecided between Starship Hospital and Starship Children's Hospital. They both seemed to be used a lot. Nurg (talk) 09:54, 10 July 2018 (UTC)
- Evidence as to which is the common name would be helpful. Dekimasuよ! 18:29, 12 July 2018 (UTC)
- Hard to come by! Their own website uses all of Starship Hospital, Starship Child Health and Starship Children's Health. Perhaps they're just trying to cover the spread. All I can offer is anecdotal evidence... most people in conversation (staff, parents, patients) say simply, "Starship", which obviously won't make a very good article title! - I have been moving many hospital pages recently and only one had any determinable common name. This is more or less a simple matter of which is most recognisable. Which is likely to be Starship Hospital. — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 17:47, 20 July 2018 (UTC)
- Support, basically for the same reason as Frayae. Starship Hospital is more recognisable. Anarchyte (work | talk) 12:13, 22 July 2018 (UTC)
