The name
editThe Mamluks used the name Turkey. But the claim It was the first state with the name of Turkey or Türkiye in the history is not exact. Although Türkiye as a name of the country was not used by the Turks, Turk budun had already been used by the Turkic Khaganate (6th-8th centuries). Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 14:22, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
