Is Picture Correct?
editThe article says that this original sculpture is painted in lifelike colors, so I suspect that the picture is actually the replica in Honolulu. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 107.203.4.146 (talk) 05:14, 12 October 2013 (UTC) ShawnVW (talk) 05:20, 12 October 2013 (UTC)

Kamehameha statue (original cast) → Statue of Kamehameha I (Kapaau, Hawaii) – Per WP:VAMOS ("For portrait sculptures of individuals in public places the forms "Statue of Fred Foo", "Equestrian statue of Fred Foo" or "Bust of Fred Foo" are recommended, unless a form such as "Fred Foo Memorial" or "Monument to Fred Foo" is the WP:COMMONNAME. If further disambiguation is needed, because there is more than one sculpture of the same person with an article, then disambiguation by location rather than the sculptor is usually better.") and for consistency with Statue of Kamehameha I (U.S. Capitol). --Another Believer (Talk) 15:25, 28 November 2021 (UTC)

- Support. I note that the article body currently spells the place names as "Kapaʻau" and "Hawaiʻi", each with a ʻokina, but that MOS:HAWAII says "In general, follow the orthography of use for the kahakō and ʻokina wherever possible when using Hawaiian words and phrases, except in article titles" (my emphasis).
