Difference between Social Media and Instant Messaging.
editA status message on an Instant Messenger is like "Online, Away, Busy, Invisible, Offline." Although they can be customized for detail. One's status message on a social networking site is more like a blog post, not an indication of whether a user is logged on or busy.
