Good article, but I'm confused about the last reaction showing the fluorescent labeling of a nucleoside. What role does the MeCN play in the reaction? Maybe showing the intermediate before the addition of "A" would be helpful for those of us that are still learning chemistry. It's unclear to me whether MeCN would add in somehow, or if it doesn't, how the hydrolysis product is avoided. |
