Talk:Stave (wood)

Is woodstave even in the English language?

edit

"Woodstave" does not appear in the Oxford Dictionary of English; the word is "stave" e.g. a length of wood used to make a barrel. So this rather looks like we've invented a new word in order to avoid disambiguation. Looking at google books there may be a case for an article on wood stave pipes, but this one should be something like stave (wood). Unless there are objections or better suggestions, I plan to move it to that title. --Bermicourt (talk) 19:45, 13 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

The main use of Stave refers to a type of person. Trying to nomonalize steve as stave is longshot. Especially here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.235.154.42 (talk) 11:11, 21 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
