I think Stephan's entry should mention the fact that he worked for ShareNow [1] as he was so passionate about the company; he had the ShareNow logo tattooed on his arm as it says here on his ShareNow memorial page: [2] and, according to his cousin, he was filming a commercial for ShareNow when he was killed: [3] and [4] Johnalexwood (talk) 17:58, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

That's great! With reference to izimi, I wonder if you could help out here. izimi was merely the site's former name. If anything, the name 'izimi' should be buried and doesn't need to be mentioned in the article (or minimally 'Formerly known as izimi' but the name 'izimi' was not well known so there's little point even saying that. The problem is with the WP sharenow entry which is actually still under izimi. Any idea how to change the name of the ShareNow entry from izimi to ShareNow? I moved Izimi to ShareNow and changed all references to the product accordingly. The only thing left to do is to get a new screenshot and a logo of ShareNow since all that we have graphically is Izimi related. SWik78 (talk • contribs) 12:52, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

Stephan Miller's activities and dead links

I did some text editing to this article because it was not clear on the facts of what happened, particularly in view of the National Geographic documentary Grizzly Face to Face which covers the incident in detail. This documentary is online for viewing, though I can't cite to it because it was posted by Randy Miller, not by Nat Geo (the copyright owner). In particular, a lot of the sources right after the event suggested that Stephan Miller was Rocky's trainer. This doesn't appear to have been the case. Stephan wasn't working as a trainer (at least not for Predators in Action) when this happened. Stephan and Randy had trained another bear years earlier named Dakota. Rocky was being trained by at least 3 other people and Stephan just wanted Randy to film Stephan wresting Rocky for a promo video for SharedNow. Also, the original text was kind of garbled as to what actually happened/ why the bear actually attacked, so I tried to clear that up a bit. In addition, the majority of links to sources on this article are dead. I am trying to replace the dead links where possible, either to archive.org versions (which in some cases don't exist), or (in the case of AP articles) the same article as it appears in another paper in Google archives or newspapers.com archives; or (if all else fails) some other source. I'm about halfway through the links and need to stop for a while but will try to come back and fix the other links at a later time. TheBlinkster (talk) 17:52, 17 May 2015 (UTC)

Edited to add, I've now cleaned up as many dead links as possible. If article not available and it was a print source (meaning the article exists in a newspaper in a library somewhere) I left the cite as a print reference. Possible merge/ rename into Rocky (bear) article? Discuss

I do not mean any disrespect to Stephan Miller or his family, friends or colleagues, but I am wondering about the notability of the subject of this article. It seems like it's possible that he's notable only for one event, that of being killed by Rocky the Bear, and thus may fail the general notability criteria. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability_(people)#People_notable_for_only_one_event . My reasoning is as follows:

• A Google search on "Stephan Miller" or a similar news search brings up almost entirely articles and references to the fatal bear attack, as opposed to other things he might have done in his lifetime.
• He's not even mentioned on the ShareNow Wiki page (which is itself pretty bare bones).
• In addition, this page isn't really telling the story of Stephan Miller's life. There's no birth date information, etc. I added the info about his past work as a trainer (that wasn't even there before) and the whole article is pretty much his death in the bear accident.
• By contrast, Rocky the bear had independent notability for appearing in films like Semi-Pro, and he has continued to receive coverage relating to the attempts by Randy Miller to get the restrictions lifted that prevent him from going back to work in California (example, this 2012 article http://newsblaze.com/story/20121003084354zzzz.nb/topstory.html )

Rocky does not appear to have his own page and "Rocky the bear" redirects to "Stephan Miller". I'm considering giving Rocky his own page one of these days, as a number of other actor bears who have become known for one reason or another already have such pages.
