User:Sparer made a series of edits without sources, some of them apparently opinionated. I reverted and another user reverted again when the edits were reinstated.

Mr Poo says hello. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A00:23C4:4501:C401:C54C:8F10:EA04:4F8D (talk) 12:07, 11 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

Unverifiable (by me) information included:

  • He was "the creator and proprieter of a new-car, Renault dealership group with five outlets (2nd largest in the UK) in the 1970s". It's verified that he was a used car dealer.
  • Hinchliffe was a member of ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)
  • Hinchliffe was an accountant for Sheffield Twist Drill
  • "Hinchliffe is a helicopter pilot and has trained on fixed-wing aircraft up to 737s.He raced go-carts before becoming an experienced saloon-car racing driver." [this might be trivia]
  • The Norwich Union building he refurbished was 132,000sq ft [trivia?]
  • His stake in Wilkes was 29%, and he led profits to rise from from £500,000 to £5.7m.
  • He sold computer company Data Memories to Lynx Holdings Plc. (this is supported by a snippet in Investors Chronicle, Volume 89, Financial Times Business Pub, 1989)
  • Other information was seemingly attempting to excuse the actions of Hinchliffe and Facia, and does not need repeating here.

If anyone can verify this information using reliable sources it can of course be incorporated into the article. Fences&Windows 19:05, 14 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

More edits, this time by User:Hinchy0. Again, opinionated, unduly slanted towards Hinchliffe, and unverifiable. I've started a BLPN thread. Fences&Windows 13:54, 16 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
The thread is here for reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Biographies_of_living_persons/Noticeboard&oldid=498687413#Stephen_Hinchliffe. Some useful input and possible pointers. Fences&Windows 20:45, 21 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
