You left out Crumb Duck, the split EP they did with Nurse with Wound in 1996. I'd add it in, but I'm too stupid to know which section you would put that in. EP? Rarity? Murderbike 21:19, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

Albums vs. Compilations vs. EPs

I don't agree with the classification of some of the releases.

Surely Space Age Batchelor Pad Music, and "First of the Microbe Hunters are short Studio Albums (mini-Albums?), not EPs. At 28'18 and 39'47 respectively, these would be full albums by the standards of many bands.

I'd also argue that "Amorphous Body Study Centre" were also an Album if it hadn't been re-produced within Aluminium Tunes.

As for "Fab Four Suture", surely this is an album (not a compilation) that just happened to be pre-released as six 7" singles?

Basically, I don't think that these four works should be "downgraded" from "proper studio albums" just because of their length and/or their method of release. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.86.134.168 (talk) 01:26, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

It's a tricky issue. If you want, we can rename that top section from "Studio Albums to "Main Albums" and just go by how Allmusic.com classifies Stereolab's albums (see here). Sound good? - Merzbow (talk) 08:50, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

Also, nearly all the items listed in the EPs section other than the mini-LPs are what I would call singles. They mostly had 7" versions with two tracks and CD versions with 3-4 tracks, and were titled after the lead tracks. I think there's value in separating the two in that EPs and albums by notable bands generally are allowed their own articles by default, but singles aren't. We have to make a choice about what source to follow here regarding what is an EP and what is a single. Stereolab's own site classifies a bunch of releases as EPs that AllMusic doesn't. Left off

I deliberately left off compilations that contained less than a majority of Stereolab songs, because I imagine there are dozens of them and they would not be of as much interest. If you want to include them, I would suggest this: Renaming the existing "Compilations" table to "Compilations (Stereolab)". Create a new table called "Compilations (Other)". Place all compilations not primarily of Stereolab material into the new table. - Merzbow (talk) 16:33, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
