Steve Franks is a member of the band The Friendly Indians. They have a few (self-published?) CDs out, perform the theme song to the Franks-created show Psych, and were named after the friendly indians of Disneyland amusement park. One of their songs is a musical rendition of the monologue heard while at the beginning of the Haunted House attraction.

edit- Can somebody who know Wikipedia practice and formatting make this a part of his biography? It seems relevant.
Dad + basis for Psych?
editWhen Psych debuted, Steve Franks did interviews with TV Guide in which he said the show was inspired by his father's real-life drilling him in observation. I can't access that magazine online, but I wonder if someone else might have the clipping so we could cite it. The same fact, although not the article, might be somewhere on USA's site. Copied from imdb.com?
editHi, the biography in this article seems to be an exact copy of the imdb entry. --Zesel (talk) 19:07, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
Yes. It seems to be pretty much an exact copy. Really, just cut and paste. Gingermint (talk) 21:23, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
