editThis article has several sections which aren't news except in the life of its subject. It is a vanity page and when I change it M4bwav changes it back. The article does't belong on Wikipedia or else should be much shorter.

The article includes a lot of information about his involvement in some of the biggest scandals in the history of the united states, and has been worked on over time by a variety of people. I don't understand at all the argument for removing this information, and I'm sorry my kneejerk reaction was to reveret, I just assumed it was biased vandalism, because the relevance of the information seemed so obvious. I mean how could you possibly justify removing the chinagate section, do you know what chinagate was?

Thanks for your reply. I will not change it back but it seemed to me obvious that this is a vanity page by the subject or by someone at his think tank. I thought I was cleaning up wikipedia to remove the anecdotes about both subject's allegedly infamous "friendship" with Bandow and his position as the rope in a "tug of war" between the two houses of Congress. I cannot see that either is up to wikipedia standards, and I did not think that anyone other than the subject would think to detail these things on a wikipedia page as if they were real information useful for wikipedia readership. I understand that Chinagate is a real topic, but believed that Clemons' supposed role in the affair is not, and that the section could be removed from his page (just as it is not present in the main Chinagate page). It's perhaps the case that I don't recognize or understand the newsworthiness of his role because of an ignorance about Chinagate. It appears to me to be part of a vanity page by the subject.

"it seemed to me obvious that this is a vanity page by the subject or by someone at his think tank". That's an accusation you can't back up. Look at my record, I've created tons of unbiased articles about political figures, your accusation, like your reasoning, is false. This dude is a notable foreign-policy figure, and his involvement with Chinagate is both factual and interesting. Why would you remove a relevant fact that people would be interested in reading? I'm going to add it back if you don't respond. M4bwav 00:28, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
Where did Clemons go to school and what degrees did he earn? I can't find this information anywhere. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.94.32.102 (talk) 19:16, 6 January 2013 (UTC)

This is just a vanity page describing very personal things about a minor person and doesn't really belong on wikipedia or else should be much more whittled down. |
