Serious allegations for conflict of interest must be included in the Wikipedia article

editAs typical for some WP:BLP, Wikipedia's coverage of influential scientists intensifies from when their name started appearing in news sources.
Steven Nissen is now known for the ASSTEROID trial (no reference here yet) and much work on IVUS (no reference). But his work on drug safety gets most attention.

- I removed the VERY lengthy proposed page rewrite because (A) much of the appropriate, proposed material is now in the article, (B) the user proposing the changes was blocked from further edits due to violating Wikipedia's commercial promotion policy (he/she has been reinstated, but some of the proposed edits did reflect a bias, consistent with his/her work at Dr. Nissen's institution), and (C) because the length was simply cluttering this article's talk page.DoctorEric (talk) 15:53, 20 November 2013 (UTC)
Fan Page?
editThis article is more of a fan page than a Wikipedia article. Let's see some discussion of Dr. Nissen's conflicts of interest (e.g. Business Week, 19 December 2005, "Big Pharma's Favorite Gadfly: Steven Nissen's industry ties don't stop him from questioning drugs like Celebrex."
