See also Benelli Kite

edit

Cjwoodfines, I still fail to see how Benelli Kite is relevant to this article. The Benelli Kite article does not link here; neither one is linked to or from Baikal IZH-46M, etc. Of course, if we were to create all these links, it would be another matter, but I think that would be overkill, especially if (as one might hope) more of these air pistols get articles written about them in the future. (If we were to add links to all other 9mm pistols to the See also section at Beretta 92, it would get a bit silly. It only includes those models that are especially relevant to the 92.) For the reader wanting to see other models, there's already Category:Pneumatic weapons. By the way, I must say I really enjoy that you are taking an interest in these matters; the number of people working on ISSF shooting articles here is, well, rather low. -- Jao (talk) 23:57, 11 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Duplicate text with the 10 metre air pistol page

edit

Both this page, and the entry for 10 metre air pistol both contain the following block of text;

To promote comfortable and accurate shooting from a standing position match air pistols must have fast lock times, shoot practically recoilless and vibration free and exhibit minimal movement and balance shifts during discharge. The pistol must also be able to be tailored by adjustable user interfaces and various accessories to individual shooters personal preferences. Combined with appropriate match pellets the pistol has to produce a consistent 10 ring performance, so a non maximal result during the initial phase can be attributed to the participant.

This text seems more applicable to the entry for the air pistol as it talks about multiple pistols and provides no specific information for this particular pistol. It seems likely that it was copy and pasted in but as it does not give any value to this article and shows up clearly as copying pasting since this page is linked to from the air pistol page it is still fresh in one's mind.

On the air pistol page this can be found under the Equipment heading first paragraph, and here as the second paragraph.
